The size chart did not work. My dress was way too small

This is an update to my last review. They actually sent me the wrong size dress and then made my pay 62.00 dollars to return the dress to them. They refused to give me a refund for the money I had to pay to return the dress even though it was their fault. I had to pull teeth and sent several emails before they agreed to give me a full refund for the dress rather than store credit since my event date would’ve already passed by the time a get to store credit. I’m thankful they are giving me a refund (which I won’t get until they get the dress back) but I’m still very upset that I had to pay the shipping cost for their error.

The dress that arrived was nothing like it was pictured. It was made of extremely poor quality fabric. So disappointed as I thought this dress would be so beautiful! For reference it was the Caterina dress in Sky Blue. It looks great online and in the Bachelor photos but in reality the dress looked like it was a bad budget halloween or dance costume. Important to note that this brand also has a very difficult returns policy which I am guessing is to prevent people from returning their goods.

Australian consumer law says that a store or seller MUST provide a repair, replacement or refund if an item is faulty or significantly not as described. The dress I bought was nothing like the images, it was extremely poor quality and the stitching and material was cheap and far from consistent with any photos online. When I asked about returning the item I was told very clearly - NO REFUNDS - despite the fact this was against Australian consumer laws. The item was posted back via Australia Post in a post bag which I bought from Australia Post on the day I returned it. I don't carry a staple gun with me when I go to the Post Office so if any staple was applied it was Australia Post that applied it after it was posted back in perfect condition. I have photo evidence of all of this however Trustpilot will not allow links in my review. Stealing $400 from a 17 year old girl who simply bought a dress to go to formal is a disgrace. I reiterate DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY - you will buy the dress then they will keep your money, especially when you realise the dress was nothing like what you dreamt it to be. I am taking the matter up with ACCC and Fair Trading to resolve - I hope this saves anyone else from making the same mistake I did trusting the tagline "as seen on the Bachelor"......
